A new Ops page gives visibility into the backend pipeline — news ingestion status, scoring jobs, and system health. Useful for monitoring the hourly FMP pulls and news scoring runs that power the screener.
The Explore page now features an interactive entity relationship graph. See how stocks, sectors, and news themes connect to each other in real time. The graph auto-updates as new articles are processed, and includes improved node mapping for cleaner cluster visualisation.
Sign in with X (Twitter) is now available. Authenticate via OAuth and connect your X account directly to your newsimpactscreener profile. This enables future social-signal features tied to your timeline and follows.
Toggle between full prose and compressed "caveman" mode across all blog posts and documentation pages. The caveman/businessman toggle lives in the header and docs sidebar — your preference is saved in localStorage so it persists across sessions.
Full-text search is now available on the Articles feed. Search across ingested headlines and summaries to quickly surface articles relevant to a specific ticker, sector, or theme.
News Trends now uses a richer data setup — better aggregation of theme velocity and volume over time. The Daily Narrative page also received updates to its Telegram integration, improving how narrative summaries are pushed to subscribers.
The backend now exposes an MCP server for tooling integrations. DuckDB is used for fast local persistence of screener results and scoring data, with progress tracking so long-running screener jobs can be resumed without re-processing.
The stock screener now applies Minervini trend template and O'Neil-style institutional criteria. Local SMA calculations replace API calls for speed, an n8n workflow orchestrates the full pipeline, and error handling makes the screener significantly more robust for overnight runs.
newsimpactscreener goes live. The core idea: connect news headlines to stock price action so retail swing traders can spot the themes that move markets. First version ships with a stock screener, fundamental data via FMP, and basic VWAP / technical analysis.
