Core Features
Daily Narrative
A personalised, structured morning briefing that turns market news into clear, portfolio-specific actions.
Daily Narrative
Most retail investors start their morning the same way: open Twitter, scan CNBC, check their broker app, and try to assemble a coherent picture of what is happening and whether any of it matters to them. It takes 30–60 minutes and often ends with more anxiety than clarity.
The Daily Narrative is Swingtrader's answer to that problem. Every weekday morning before the open, you receive a structured briefing that is built entirely from the data that matters to your portfolio, your screening candidates, and your open alerts.
What’s in the Daily Narrative
Portfolio Watch
For every position in your trade ledger, the Daily Narrative pulls the most relevant news from the last 24 hours, runs it through the impact scoring system, and produces a per-ticker summary:
- Sentiment signal – Is the recent news flow a tailwind or headwind for this position?
- Plain-language summary – What is the narrative around this stock right now?
- Action flag – One of Monitor, Review, or Urgent, so you know at a glance what needs attention.
- Source articles – The specific articles that drove the signal, with links.
You are not left to infer whether something matters. The system tells you.
Screening Updates
For the candidates you are tracking in the screener, the Daily Narrative flags which ones have relevant news flow:
- Positive catalysts
- Sector tailwinds
- Risk signals that might change their setup
This keeps your watchlist live without requiring you to manually check each ticker every morning.
Alert Warnings
For every active price alert, stop loss, and take profit level you have set, the Daily Narrative shows:
- How far the price is from your level (as a percentage)
- Any relevant news that might be driving movement toward that level
- A brief macro context note so you understand whether the move is idiosyncratic or broad-based
Market Pulse
A short, plain-English macro summary of the dominant themes from overnight and pre-market news:
- Which sectors are in focus
- What the rate environment looks like
